Maybe you’ve heard of split testing before…
(if you hang out around me I’m sure you have)
or maybe you haven’t.
Either way, you need to know that split testing is some PRO level shiii.
But if you’re not sure where you should start with your testing, don’t worry. I’ve got you.
Here are my 5 things that you should ALWAYS split test on your sales page.
A quick note before we get started….
You only ever want to be split testing one thing at a time! This is the only way you’re going to get accurate results.
When you start testing more than one element at a time, you’ll never be able to tell what is actually making the difference on your page. Or you get into the space where your changes are canceling each other out and it doesn’t look like there is any difference.
But, now that that’s out of the way, let’s get to the 5 things you should always be split testing on your pages.
#1 – Header Image
What image is more eye-catching to your audience? What image do people connect with more? The difference one image can make is staggering. ALWAYS split test your header images. You’ll be amazed at what you learn.
#2 – Header Copy
This is mainly focused on your opening line. Which version is going to grab your clients’ attention more? Should you stick with a powerful statement, or does a question resonate more with your audience? Test it out and get a real answer!
#3 – Call to Actions
Wherever you’re telling people to do something, test out different phrasing! Does “join now” work better than “sign up”? This is a huge one to test! You have to know how your audience responds to different commands so that you can serve them better.
#4 – Button colors
There is some debate with this element. There are people out there who are die-hard on your buttons always need to be yellow. Others say you must use brand colors. How do you know what is best for your personal business? Test it!
#5 – Testimonials placements
There is a lot of debate on this one as well. Should you group them all together or should you spread them out on the page? Should one testimonial go under your button or should this other one? Split test it!
You’ll be surprised at what you learn from split testing, plus this is some pro-level shit.
I’m sure you’ve wondered how all the top people in your industry out there get their pages to convert so well, and this is your answer! They test and make things better and better and better until they’re converting like superstars.
Listening to the experts on how to build your pages is a great place to start, but you have to figure out what works best for your business. And that’s the point of split testing.
