Creating content can be challenging.
There are so many different platforms that you’re on and so many different forms of content that you need to create. It can really get overwhelming and eat up a ton of your time if you’re trying to constantly be creating brand new content.
The good news is you can stop.
Creating content doesn’t have to be a pain in the ass.
You can be that all the top influencers out there aren’t creating brand new content every single time they need to put out content.
The key is to effectively REPURPOSE your already created content.
So, today I have 5 tips to help you do just that.
- Transcribe your videos (or podcasts!)
You’re already creating amazing video content and going live on your page or in your group. Take those videos and send them off to be transcribed and then repurpose your words into blog posts, emails, ebooks, whatever else your heart desires!
If you need a good transcription service, I love using revv.com. They have an awesome “rough draft” feature that is currently only $0.10/minute and has an 80%+ accuracy rate. This is how I transcribe all my videos!
- Create quote images and memes
Quit sharing other people’s words and start sharing your own. The videos that you just transcribed have tons of amazing quotes of yours that you can use to turn into a meme that is so easy to share.
I highly recommend using Canva to create your quote images and memes. They have lots of templates and images you can use or you can create your own! It’s free, quick, and simple to use. If you haven’t seen my free Canva overview yet, click here to watch it now!
- Turn your videos into podcasts or audiobooks
It seems like everyone has a podcast these days. But that’s because they’re awesome! They’re easy to listen to and squeeze into the day, even for the busiest of us. And all we have to do is create them is a little preplanning and saving the audio from a video file.
- Take your collected data/information and turn them into infographics
Infographics are highly shareable and seldom thought of. They’re a simple, visual way to REPURPOSE and share your statistics, data, messages, videos etc. I highly recommend using Pinterest with your infographics (share them everywhere, but FOR SURE on Pinterest!). Again, you can use Canva for creating bomb infographics and they have lots of templates to work from.
- Create and maintain a content library
My final tip is this, you have to keep track of your content to effectively REPURPOSE it. Staying organized and keeping your library updated will help you plan your posts and topics easily. Now, this can be customized to your own organizational style, but my suggestion is to make it simple.
Just make sure whatever you go with, you add a “date last used” column. You don’t want to repeat the same exact content too often and this is the easiest way to make sure that doesn’t happen.
And finally, you want to have a way of keeping track of how well each piece did. Views, engagement, reach…you don’t have to get too crazy with this. Just tracking ‘good’ or ‘bad’ is helpful because if something didn’t provide the engagement or views you wanted before, it most likely wouldn’t change the second time around…at least not without spicing it up somehow
So there you have it.
Five tips to help you effectively repurpose your content like the boss that you already are.
