You’ve done the work, you have an amazing offer, and it’s time to put it out in the world.
What do you do? Build your sales funnel. But what’s the best way to do that? What are your options?
There are two main ways you can build your funnel. You can either use pages on your website, for example if you have WordPress or Squarespace you can build your own pages if you have the right themes or plugins. That’s your first option, and it doesn’t work for everyone.
If you maybe don’t have a website yet or you don’t have the ability to create those standalone pages on your site, here’s your second option. Use a service. Using a service is what the majority of people end up doing. I use a service, I know everyone I work with uses services, and it’s very common in the industry.
You want to find a service that lets you create pages quickly and easily, and offers analytics…and some other fun benefits.
I’m going to go over two separate services. These are probably the two most popular ones out there, Leadpages and ClickFunnels.
I’ll start with Leadpages.
Leadpages is great. It’s easy to use, they have great layouts to work with, and everything is very intuitive, “drag and drop”. All around easy to use and is good for a beginner or for someone who doesn’t have the best technical skills.
I like Leadpages to build my pages. Every page is built separately, which is convenient if you want to use the same upsell offer with multiple opt-ins. When you map out your funnel, you’ll have a much better idea of what you need.
Now for ClickFunnels.
I love ClickFunnels. It’s what a lot of my clients and I use myself. It’s very easy to use and I was able to learn it very quickly. It was always easy to figure out what I needed to do, even if I had no clue.
But, the main reason I prefer ClickFunnels is that they have a lot more functionality. For example, one of the things you’re going to want to do when you’re building your funnels is test your pages. Find out what people are reacting to better, what they might not be reacting to. A-B or split testing is included with ClickFunnels free of charge.
However one of the downsides to ClickFunnels is that you have to build every funnel separately, and every page has to be separate. Comparing the two, the biggest differences will be how the pages are put together. The biggest advantages ClickFunnels has are the shopping cart integration and the membership site.
So, if you’re selling a course or video series you have a place to create your sales pages AND host your course, instead of having to create a separate membership site and link everything together, which can get confusing and or costly. But with ClickFunnels everything is included.
I would definitely say if you’re building out a funnel build it in ClickFunnels. It really is a great system and they offer a 14-day free trial. Try it out. Have some fun. I genuinely enjoy using it, so if you have any questions just let me know.
