Before we get to the nitty and gritty details, we gotta address a couple things…
First of all, bots will NOT take over for email. Sure, you can communicate with others through it, but you OWN your email list; you DON’T own your Bot list. If Facebook would shut down today, that whoooole list of people would be GONE.
In addition, Bots and email are SO different. Let me tell you how…
So to answer the question, Nope! There are several differences between email and bots, which is why you want to send unique messages for each…
- Emails are static. Essentially, you have your message, a call to action, and that’s it.
- Bots are more dynamic and interactive.
- Email is very get to the point and the rest is up to the receiver.
- Bots are more interactive in the sense that you can guide the receiver in a conversational journey
- Email is one-sided. I send my message and that’s it.
- Bots let both me and my intended audience to conversate and get to know each other quicker and easier.
- Email does let you get creative if you would like, but it can get messy. Background coding can get pretty complicated and frustrating if you aren’t familiar with it.
- Bots are SO simple and easy to get creative and fun. You can easily add gifs, pictures, videos, documents etc.
- Email is quick to write. I don’t about you but I can get an email written and sent within minutes.
- Bots take a little more time to set up, but it’s totally worth it due to the fact that bots have 3-4 times increased open rate than email.
As you can see, email and bots are very different, but both are pretty vital to your communicative efforts in your business. You’ll want to be sure that you are utilizing them both when reaching out to potential prospects or clients. It’ll make one hell of a difference!
