If you’ve been around me for even a little bit, you know that I love opt-ins.
I’ve spent YEARS mastering the art of the opt-in and today we’re going to talk about how opt-ins work and why you should be using them in your business.
Alright, first thing’s first – what is an opt-in?
It’s a fan-freakin-tastic way to build your list, collect leads, and give you audience a valuable gift in exchange for an email.
Here’s just one reason it’s a fantastic strategy.
You get to pick out what gift you’re going to give away to your audience. That means that you have an incredibly strategic way to hand pick the people that you want to talk to.
A.K.A. your target market.
Then, they’re excited because of all the value they got out of your gift and you just added a new IDEAL subscriber to your newsletters and announcements.

Now, how do opt-ins work exactly?
- You start with a landing page. This is a page on your website or service provider like ClickFunnels that gets people interested in your offer.
- Then there’s the form. This is where someone actually enters their information to get the freebie.
- Then their information is sent to your CRM. Once they submit their form, if your integrations are set up properly, the form will shoot their information straight over into your CRM or Email List.
- And finally, the automation. Now that they’ve been successfully added to your CRM system, an automation is triggered that delivers your optin AND puts them into a series of follow-up emails.
So there it is – the backend of how your opt-ins should be working. They are such an amazing way to build your email list and grow your following.
