An opt-in is any sort of free gift that offers your clients VALUE. This can be a PDF, a video or series of videos, an email challenge, an eBook, a podcast, etc. It is pretty much anything that gives value to your audience in exchange for their email address.
If they can’t find value in your opt-in, they’re going to unsubscribe from your list and see no reason to purchase from you any further. So be sure you’re ALWAYS offering opt-ins driven by VALUE.

People buy from people they know, like, and trust. Your goal is to build up that trust factor that then motivates your audience to work with you. We want to create STRONG connections and that’s exactly what opt-ins can do if they’re done correctly.
Second, it builds your email list.
And your email list is essentially a bunch of people who have already said they want information from you, and that’s exactly what we want. These are people who are most likely to buy from you. You want to build up that list so you can further communication, build a strong trusting connection, and they will be more inclined to continue to do business with you in the future.
