I have been having a fabulous week. There are just so many great things going on!
I’ve been onboarding new clients (always AMAZING), switched up my email, and one thing I’ve been dying to have the time to do and really get into…
Pinterest.
I restructured and set up my business Pinterest account and I’m so excited that this is finally done!
So, you’re probably thinking
“Kylie why the hell are you on Pinterest? Pinterest is for DIYs and recipes and wedding planning. How does marketing have a place on Pinterest?”
So, I will start with and say it sooooo has a place on Pinterest. Pinterest has expanded immensely since it began. When it really was all DIY and recipes…
It has become a HUGE social network and is an amazing place for your business.
And today, I have three reasons why.
Number one – Pinterest users are more likely to buy than any other social media network out there.
More than Facebook, more than Twitter, more than Instagram, more than LinkedIn… Pinterest users are the absolute most likely to buy. It’s because when they’re on Pinterest they’re there looking for products and solutions, which is what you provide.
So, basically, Pinterest is a whole market full of people who are literally looking to purchase things. I don’t know about you, but I think that’s a huge reason your business should be on Pinterest.
Number two – Pinterest users are more likely to spend more money than any other social media network users.
So, not only are they more likely to spend than Facebook, Twitter and all the other social media users, but they are more likely to spend more money. Which…hello…if lights are not going off in your head right now that this could be huge for your business, I don’t know what else I can say.
The fact that they’re more likely to buy in the first place AND more likely to spend more money means more sales for you and more happiness for them. They were about to find their solution and you’re able to share your greatness to the world and make it all a better place. It’s a win win!
Number three – It will supercharge your blog traffic.
Pinterest is all about getting those links clicked and driving traffic. So, whether you’re driving it to your website or you’re driving it to an opt-in, Pinterest is the PERFECT place for it! It’s going to increase your all-around traffic which increases the eyes that are on all of your stuff.
And if you add that into the fact they are more likely to buy, more likely to spend more money, and more likely to see your pages…do I really need to go on?
Pinterest is a huge untapped market for businesses. Especially online businesses like the ones I focus on.
So, like I was saying earlier, I was really excited re-setting up my Pinterest account this week, and I started using an awesome scheduler called Tailwind. (YES! You can schedule your pins!)
If you’re interested in trying it out, click here for a 30-day free trial.
It’s a great service that lets you schedule out your pins AND re-pins, which is huge. When you’re on Pinterest you’re supposed to be posting up to 10 times a day, which if you have to do all that manually…OMG that’s so much work.
But with Tailwind, it makes it super easy. Everything is scheduled out and it’s very simple, streamlined and user friendly. So, I would definitely recommend checking it out if you are going to get into Pinterest…which, obviously I would recommend.
So that is my little two cents for the day. I hope this was helpful and gave you a bit more insight on if Pinterest is right for you and your business.
