Reason 1 – It’s not personal.

Personality is key in your sales process. The main reason that people buy from you is because they know, like, and trust you. If your sales flow doesn’t have any personality in it, how are they going to get to know you?

I see this happening a lot with templates from funnel ‘gurus’ that they claim cannot fail. You’re given a generic template, told to switch out a few words in the text and images and you’re good to go. This rarely actually works out the way people expect and it’s because it’s so impersonal.

You’re not a robot. Don’t act like one.

2 – There isn’t enough value

This is something I’ve talked about many, many times before, but if you’re new here, you’ve probably never heard this, so I’m just going to say it again.

Your sales funnel, your sales flow, your sales process has to be about the value.

Four years ago when I first started out it was easy to get someone to buy right away, but that is not the case anymore. Your consumers have learned the tricks and are only going to part with their hard earned money if they 100% believe that you are going to be able to solve their problem.

How do you prove that you can do that? By providing a ton of value up front, for free, so that they can experience what working with you might be like or if they like the way you teach.

And this is more than a really kick ass PDF opt-in. No, you’re going to have to put in some more value throughout this entire process. So when you’re thinking about why your sales process isn’t working, are you focused on helping create a positive change in other’s lives or are you just pitching products?

3 – It doesn’t feel good

To you or your clients. It just won’t work.

And there are a few reasons for this. If you have a process that you don’t actually like, you’re not going to see it through. Whatever manual steps you have, the content that you need to write, it just isn’t going to feel good and you’re not going to do it.

Second, is that the energy behind your system is going to be completely off and people are going to be able to feel it. And if the energy is off and they can’t connect with you, it’s over. It’s just not going to work if you don’t have a process that feels good.

Focus on creating a system that you have fun doing and you’ll bring that energy that people are attracted to. When your energy shows up people get to know, like, and trust you and make a real connection. And this is what makes your sales flow work.
